so frank and i had decided to celebrate kevin's 7th birthday with a family day at disneyland and since kevin has his christmas shop at school tomorrow, on his actual birthday, monday became that day. and what a day it was. we woke up to pouring rain and gray skies, but no matter what, we were going to disneyland! we came up with an elaborate story of how, kevin and i were dropping frank off at his school and then we were going to school too. of course, that plan sort of back fired when kevin saw what time it was when we got in the car and all his little mind could think about was getting a late slip from the front office. we kept up the charade, however, and he was a believer until we were pulling up to the disneyland parking structure...that's when we saw this face in the back seat.
of course, kevin wanted to test out his rain clothes so we ended up walking into disneyland.
nothing says fun like riding the small world when it's all decked out for the christmas season.
we left soaking wet but with fun birthday memories.
the best part appeared at the outdoor stage of disneyland...all the star wars characters were there and Kevin actually wanted to take his picture with all of them.
