the pack 438 annual cake auction began with the flag salute led by the bears, achievements being handed out, the bobcat ceremony and a pack photo.
i was snapping pictures while lil' luke was hanging out with his godfather, gary.
then finally the much awaited cake auction began with awards being handed out in categories such as movies, best representation of boy scouts, camping and patriotic.
this was the competition for best representation of boy scouts and the winner is...
kevin was thrilled to win first place - so proud!
ready to bet on cakes
so after paying for the ingredients and then spending all of a rainy sunday afternoon making the cake, we paid $20 to buy it back - can you see kevin jumping out of his chair to buy back his own cake.
in the end nothing beats getting to eat your own cake!
